Meeting Dogs

"What animals will be at events?"

Each event will have different attendance based on foster availability. If you have a dog you're specifically interested in you can let us know and we will do our best to get the dog or cat there!

Don't worry though - if you just want to meet some dogs & cats, you're always welcome! 

Adoption

Can I adopt on-site? 

Short answer... Yes! 

Long answer... We run a background check, vet check, and will do an adoption screen to ensure you and the animal are a good fit for each other. If all of the above are able to be completed then you can sign the contract and pay same day!

How can I come prepared? 

The biggest barrier to adopting on-site at an adoption event is vet records. We will require a vet check (review of medical records) for any pet in your home currently or a pet you've owned in the last 5 years. We recommend bringing your vet records with you virtually on your phone or printed out! 

Meet & Greet

What if the dog or cat I'm interested isn't coming? 

If the animal you're interested in isn't able to come to the event or won't be there you're welcome to: 

1. Come anyway and meet other dogs or cats to see if there's another fit. 

2. Fill out an application on our site and go through the adoption process before doing a meet-and-greet instead. 

Your Pets

Can I introduce my dog at the adoption event?

We are always open to dogs coming to adoption events. On the off chance the dog you're interested in prefers off-leash meets we might not allow leash play  and would recommend a Meet & Greet instead during the week!

ATTENDANCE

Which event should I go to?

While each event will have adoptable animals, Sunday events at Petsmart stores will have the highest animal attendance and a full staff on-site!

If you're thinking of coming to an event to 'shop around', Sunday would be your best bet!
